Carcaixent was twined with Bagnols-sur-Cèze in 1982 and Feltre in 2013. Although it is not linked to any other town in the network the NTTA has maintained close ties with the Carcaixent association.
The town lies 40 km south of the provincial capital Valencia. It was the birthplace of the orange growth and its flourishing commerce in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Currently, its inhabitants live basically on agriculture and the service sector. To get there you need to fly to Valencia or Alicante which is 170km to the south.
